Requirements for getting married in the Turks and Caicos Islands
- Couple must be in the Turks & Caicos Islands for 48 hours prior to making their marriage application with either the Pastor or Marriage Officer. To ensure smooth scheduling, the Pastor or Marriage Officer should be contacted as far in advance as possible.
- There is a time period of two or three days before you can receive the Marriage License during which one or both parties must be resident in the Turks & Caicos Islands.
- Both parties must submit a passport or drivers license and original birth certificate as proof of identification.
- If divorced an original divorce certificate decree absolute must be produced. If widowed an original death certificate must be submitted. Notarized copies with an original stamp are acceptable.
